GOALS OF THE GPTCA

  • To help the tennis instructor and tennis teacher to become a tennis coach
  • To improve the knowledge of the tennis coach and to award diplomas
  • To empower tennis instructors and teachers to achieve a health and fitness sport university degree (coaching in sport)

TO BE A GOOD COACH

The coach has to:

  • Evaluate the personality of the player and remember that each player is unique.
  • Improve his/her empathy to better understand the player
  • Improve his/her ability to listen …
  • Discover a flexible teaching method (the teacher teached)
  • Remain neutral in the important life decisions of the player
  • Remember all the finer detailes that must be done in coaching (check list)
  • the rules of ATP, ITF, WTA
  • Remember “the whole person …before the athlet”

PERFORMANCE & PERSONAL GROWTH

  • Coaching is the “art” of managing and planning scientifically but also with empathy, the tennis player inside and outside of the court, to reach the goal of his best performance and also is the art of managing a positive relationship with the tennis player to develop his human growth.
